Six times per year, Fort St. Elmo gives you a very special impression of Malta’s history. The “Historical Re-enactment Group of Malta” reconstructs in loving detail the onslaught of the French under Napoleon (1798-1800). In a 50-minute play, the arrival of the French, the Maltese rebellion and the arrival of the English who helped beat the French, is being re-enacted in original costumes and with contemporary requisites.
